The Role: Key Responsibilities As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in helping the business make informed, data-driven decisions. Working closely with both finance and operational teams, you'll support strategic planning and performance monitoring by delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting. You'll assist in evaluating pricing strategies, reviewing cost structures, and analysing profitability across products and services. Your insights will help shape promotional activity and commercial initiatives, ensuring resources are aligned with business objectives. Part of your role will involve preparing and distributing regular performance reports-weekly, monthly, and ad hoc-ensuring key stakeholders have access to accurate, timely data. You'll also take ownership of developing new reports where needed, enhancing visibility of key metrics and challenging any variances against budget or forecast. Using data extracted from finance and operational systems, you'll identify trends, track expenditure, and prepare insightful monthly accruals. Your analysis will support the wider team in managing costs and spotting opportunities for savings. Finally, you'll be a driver of continuous improvement-actively looking for ways to streamline reporting, improve financial processes, and increase the efficiency of day-to-day operations. Your proactive approach will help the business work smarter, not harder.
