About the Role
We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Keighley. We are seeking a dedicated Inclusive Learning Assistant, to work on a supply basis, to support students with behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with their learning and school environment.This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives by promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural challenges
* Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies
* Support students in developing social, emotional, and self-regulation skills
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams
* De-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively
* Encourage student engagement and participation in lessons
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or similar setting
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
* A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
* Resilient, empathetic, and adaptable
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant qualifications ( Teaching Assistant, Youth Work, or similar) are desirable but not essential
