Job Title: Personal Assistant (Fixed-Term, Maternity Cover)

Role summary
This is a fixed-term appointment to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months. The successful candidate will provide high-quality organisational and administrative support to senior team members, ensuring Partners and Directors can focus on strategic priorities. This is a visible, impactful role that requires a reliable, proactive PA who can manage competing demands and help maintain excellent client service throughout the cover period. The position is part-time (30 hours per week) with a Monday–Thursday pattern (three days in the office, one day working from home). Start date: ASAP.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive PA support to Partners and Directors within the private client team.
Manage complex diaries, schedule meetings and coordinate internal and external appointments, including client lunches and events.
Prepare, format and proofread client and internal documents, correspondence and presentations.
Take accurate minutes and action notes at client and internal meetings; follow up on actions as required.
Answer telephone enquiries professionally, log messages and ensure timely responses.
Maintain electronic and paper filing systems, including scanning and archiving documents.
Occasionally attend meetings with senior staff to record minutes and track actions.
Undertake ad hoc administrative projects and tasks to support team priorities.
Prioritise workload to meet deadlines and demonstrate flexibility when business needs require.Essential skills & experience
Minimum of five years’ PA or executive support experience, ideally within a professional services environment.
Proven diary management and meeting coordination skills.
Excellent minute-taking and written communication abilities.
Strong attention to detail and high level of numeracy.
Confident IT skills, including MS Office; able to learn new systems quickly.
Self-motivated, able to use initiative and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Committed to delivering excellent client service and able to work collaboratively within a team.Desirable skills & experience
Experience supporting senior partners or directors in a private client context.
Familiarity with document management systems used in professional services.
Event or meeting coordination experience beyond routine diary management.Other requirements
Available to start as soon as possible and able to commit to the fixed-term period (up to 12 months).
Willingness to work the specified part-time pattern (30 hours per week, Monday–Thursday) and attend the office on-site for three days each week.
