Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary / Para- Legal to provide comprehensive administrative support within a busy legal practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, assisting solicitors with case management, undertaking audio typing, preparing legal documents and maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational and communication skills to develop their career within the legal sector.

Responsibilities

* Drafting, editing, and formatting legal documents using leap case management and other relevant software
* Managing and maintaining case files, documents, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail
* Performing audio typing of dictations and legal notes with accuracy and efficiency
* Organising schedules, appointments, and court dates using Microsoft Outlook
* Assisting with the preparation of presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel and Leap
* Handling incoming calls, emails, and enquiries professionally, ensuring prompt responses
* Dealing with New Business enquiries
* Managing administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry
* Supporting the legal team with general IT-related tasks to ensure seamless workflow
* Ensuring compliance with organisational policies regarding confidentiality and data protection

Skills

* Proven experience in administrative roles within a legal or professional environment
* Excellent audio typing skills with high accuracy and speed
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Prior knowledge of digital case management systems
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good IT literacy to troubleshoot basic technical issues promptly
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Strong time management skills to meet deadlines consistently
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated attention to detail and high levels of professionalism in handling sensitive information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
