Key Accountabilities:
* To identify and implement opportunities to improve availability in Waitrose whilst understanding the key levers available and KPIs.
* To review and make suggestions for improvements, whilst optimising stock holding and waste in the business.
* To provide effective and efficient support to the designated Buying Manager and Buyers to achieve business goals using initiative and strong communication skills.
* To collaborate with the Demand Planners to align base forecasts, promotional volumes and volumes for other key events and review promotions through post event analyst taking into consideration waste management and potential sales.
* To optimise and investigate supplier, depot to branch and On-Shelf availability issues on lines within area of responsibility, whilst mitigating against risks of overstocks. To review rate of sale of supplier specific lines/case sizes to ensure the optimum branch ranging.
* To collaborate with Demand Planners around New Line setup, discussing initial volumes and promotional volumes/base forecasts to ensure both parties are aligned. To review promotions through post event analysis and future learnings. To keep all informed of any supply issues, through KPIs and reports.
* To support Supply Chain strategies and projects. To work as part of the CBC forum. To ensure GSCoP, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery guidelines are adhered to at all times.
* To coordinate line maintenance, new lines, mid-life changes, cost/retail changes, status changes, case size changes, PIC updates, shelf-life changes, sampling requests, barcoding requests, supplier transfer, deletions and allocations.
* To ensure the approval or agreement of retail process/cost process/promotions and information /data sharing between Waitrose and WFL is authorised by the Buyer before further action is taken.
* To be responsible for the promotional administration management and related marketing material approval. To deal with Supplier query resolution, reporting, communication and record keeping.
* To issue communication via appropriate channels and communicate regularly with WFL. To investigate and resolve internal and external queries. To handle and escalate Branch queries and customer complaints.
* To support the team with sampling for benchmarking, coordinate departmental events and activities, provide ad hoc admin and support, support commercial meetings, take minutes where appropriate.
* To actively promote best practice in relation to Hygiene, Health & Safety standards, good housekeeping and support the Company's efforts to minimise its environmental impact and adopt environmental best practice.
* To look to identify areas of improvement, opportunity, innovation and communicate these to the relevant personnel.
