It is not unusual to work with data – but in this role, you will turn real-world data into real impact. Join a team where science, technology, and purpose come together to improve lives through evidence-based innovation.
This position is available in Måløv, Denmark or London, UK.
Your new role
As our Epidemiology Specialist, you will join our team for a temporary period of 1 year, starting from January 2026.
You will collaborate with research data scientists and epidemiologists that, together with stakeholders from across the organisation, create actionable evidence from real-world data (RWD). Our data comes from academic-industry partnerships, in-licensed databases of electronic medical records or health insurance claims, observational studies, and many other sources.
Your will be expected to:
1. Proactively liaise with a broad range of stakeholder across the R&D organisation to identify impactful real-world evidence (RWE) needs.
2. Provide epidemiological evidence and expertise to stakeholders across the organisation internally, and externally with Contract Research Organisations and academic institutions
3. Conduct varied and diverse tasks within pharmaco- and classical epidemiology, including taking the lead on guiding study designs and analytical methods
4. Identify and determine efficient data collection approaches and data sources relevant for the questions being investigated
5. Design analyses that will be conducted in collaboration with data scientists based on the data from external collaborations, Novo Nordisk observational studies, or from external commercial data sources
6. Perform and guide epidemiological synopsis or study protocol creation
7. Participate in cross-functional working groups as the lead subject matter expert on pharmacoepidemiology topics
8. Communicate your results and findings in a clear and convincing way both orally and in reports, and peer reviewed scientific papers

The department of Computational Real-World Evidence has presence in Måløv (Denmark) and London (UK). Computational RWE is part of the Data Science area, which sits within the wider AI & Digital Innovation (ADI) organisation in Novo Nordisk. The Computational RWE department focuses on insights and causal relationships from real-world data (e.g. clinical, imaging, genomics, claims data) through advanced statistical and machine learning methods. We analyse many different data sources to generate evidence to support drug discovery, preclinical and early clinical drug development projects.
