The business is migrating their estate into the cloud (Azure) in the coming months so there is a needs for good Azure skills but also the ability and flexibility to manage and maintain the existing estate
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and manage infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
* Optimise and support cloud services, particularly in Azure and VMware environments.
* Ensure server infrastructure is reliable and performant.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IT processes and infrastructure tools.
* Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration and procedures.
* Contribute to project management and assist with deployment of new technologies.
Successful Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, particularly with Azure and VMware technologies.
* Strong knowledge in server management and virtualisation.
* Experience with backup and recovery solutions, specifically Veeam.
* Ability to manage storage solutions, Nimble in this instance.
* Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
