The Head of Salesforce Centre of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for the strategic direction, capabilities, and operational excellence of Salesforce within the organisation. The role requires a strong understanding of the Salesforce product suite and experience managing Salesforce administrators and developers.
This position also demands strategic vision, strong leadership, and programme management skills to ensure successful initiative delivery and Salesforce adoption across the organisation.
The successful candidate will develop business-focused solutions, manage the Centre of Enablement (CoE), and maintain key relationships with internal business units and external partners (SI, Salesforce, other government departments).
This role is a strategic platform to address data challenges, inefficiencies, and nonstandard processes. It is not used for sales and marketing, but to manage processes, cases, contacts, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Governance:
* Define, implement, and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Salesforce CoE, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and digital transformation goals.
* Establish and enforce governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for Salesforce use across the organisation.
Centre of Excellence (CoE) Management:
* Build and lead a high-performing CoE team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and deliver training programs to enhance Salesforce capabilities and facilitate knowledge sharing.
Offshore Systems Integrator (SI) Relationship Management:
* Establish and maintain strong partnerships with offshore SIs, ensuring clear communication and aligned objectives.
* Oversee deliverables from offshore partners, ensuring quality and timeliness meet organisational standards.
Business-Focused Solution Development:
* Work with stakeholders to identify requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
* Design and implement scalable, secure Salesforce applications that improve processes and deliver value.
* Ensure solutions are user-centric and follow UX best practices.
Salesforce Administration and Development:
* Lead Salesforce platform administration, including user management, security, data integrity, and system maintenance.
Automation Strategy and Subject Knowledge:
* Promote automation to optimise processes and efficiencies.
* Engage in shaping DDSS Automation and AI strategies and Communities of Practice.
* Collaborate with Data, AI, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
