The Role – Key Responsibilities
As a Recovery Worker, you will deliver structured, person-centred support from initial engagement through to recovery and discharge. Your duties will include:
Completing comprehensive assessments for service users
Supporting individuals throughout the full recovery pathway
Undertaking screenings and developing tailored Recovery Plans
Delivering 1:1 interventions based on individual needs
Managing a caseload using effective key-working approaches
Developing and reviewing Care Plans alongside multi-disciplinary teams
Providing health and wellbeing support related to substance misuse
Promoting motivation, harm reduction, and long-term recovery strategies
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Previous experience within the Substance Misuse or Recovery field
Strong understanding of drug and alcohol-related issues
Experience in key working, care planning, and caseload management
Ability to engage individuals with complex needs
Excellent communication and motivational skills
