We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our Farnham Sewage Treatment Works team. You do not need a background in the Water industry. We welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.
You will be part of the frontline operations team covering the sewage treatment sites. This essential front-line role is vital for our operations. Every day presents new challenges as you work in all weather conditions, carrying out a range of tasks to ensure our wastewater treatment works operate efficiently, maintain supply to our customers, and protect the environment. This includes PPM maintenance of equipment to support plant operation.

What you’ll be doing as the Process Technician (Waste):
1. Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance on plant and equipment to improve resilience.
2. Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to meet operational and safety standards.
3. Responding to reactive jobs following plant or equipment failure.
4. Keeping sites clean, tidy, and conducting safety and security checks.
5. Working safely and complying with all health and safety procedures.
Base Location: Farnham Sewage Treatment Works - GU9 9ND
Working Pattern: 38 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, with standby rota payments and overtime opportunities that can increase earnings.
We are looking for you to:
* Be self-motivated, disciplined, eager to learn, and have a can-do attitude.
* Respond quickly to faults, understand problems, and resolve them effectively.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Work well in a team and take proactive steps for site improvements.
* Be willing to undergo safety training.
* Have knowledge of health and safety standards.
* Hold a full UK driver’s license.
