The Role

As a Lead Generation Specialist, you will verify and qualify marketing leads, proactively identify and engage new contacts, and support business growth by expanding Illumina’s customer database.

This role involves prospecting activities, collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams across Europe, and detailed data reporting and analysis using Excel. It is central to shaping outreach strategies and shared goals.

Responsibilities

* Validate and qualify inbound leads from website or campaigns for follow-up and conversion.
* Execute outbound prospecting using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Monocl, Scileads, online research, and cold calling.
* Conduct account research to identify stakeholders and background information.
* Analyze market trends and campaign performance to develop prospecting strategies.
* Support Business Reviews with lead and conversion analysis.
* Monitor lead handover processes for efficiency.
* Report on funnel performance with insights for stakeholders.
* Document prospecting activities accurately in CRM systems.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Specialist teams for effective outreach.
* Partner with stakeholders to meet lead generation targets.
* Maintain motivation and ownership to exceed goals and deliver excellent customer experience.
* Develop understanding of Illumina’s products and market segments.
* Share insights and best practices across teams.
* Adapt and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
* Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.


Requirements

* Ability to quickly learn and communicate complex technical concepts.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and data interpretation.
* Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders.
* Interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Interest or background in genomics, life sciences, or biotechnology is a plus.
* French or Spanish language skills are a plus.


Experience/Education

* Experience in lead generation, sales, business development, or marketing support roles.
* Familiarity with the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing or biology; MS/PhD is a plus.
