Job Purpose
Reporting into the Head of Internal HR & Legal this varied and challenging role supports our HRO and on-demand clients with Employee Relations queries. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients, so we're seeking a highly organised, accurate, and articulate team player.
Main Responsibilities:
* Act as first point of contact for ER queries via helpline and inbox
* Advise on a range of employee relations matters, including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance cases
* Support clients across all stages of the employee lifecycle
* Provide proactive guidance to line managers, including scripts, documentation reviews, and investigation support
* Draft and tailor letters and documentation related to ER cases
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
* Support policy writing, reviews, and implementation
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records on the case management system
* Attend client sites as required, representing the HR Advisory service professionally
* Keep up-to-date with employment and case law, applying and sharing knowledge across the team
* Support HR Consultancy as needed on projects including policy reviews, learning and development and HR audits.
Skills & Experience Required (OR What We’re Looking For OR What You’ll Bring To The Role):
* Proven experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or similar role
* Strong background in a busy HR environment with the ability to manage high caseloads
* Sound knowledge of employment legislation, statutory requirements, and best practice HR
* Confident advising senior staff and handling both basic and complex ER cases
* Experience with TUPE and redundancy cases (desirable)
* Skilled in drafting HR documents and policies across the employee lifecycle
* Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
* High level of confidentiality and professionalism
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Education Requirements:
* CIPD Level 5 is preferred
