VodafoneThree - Vetting Compliance Officer
Location: Newbury, England, United Kingdom
Hybrid work: flexibly in‑office days – about 2‑3 days each week, minimum 8 days per month; specific days not required.
Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hrs per week – Mon to Fri.
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits.
What You’ll Do
We’re recruiting for a Vetting Compliance Officer to join our National Security Vetting team. Responsibilities include:
 * Maintaining and managing security vetting records and applications for all VodafoneThree and its partners.
 * Validating applications for security clearance and ensuring valid justification.
 * Acting as the point of contact for external parties that need to validate clearance details and sharing with 3rd parties as required.
 * Ensuring VodafoneThree maintains compliance with aftercare requirements for cleared personnel throughout their tenure.
 * Managing and updating the National Security Vetting team SharePoint to keep advice aligned with evolving HM Government guidance.
 * Building and maintaining effective working relationships with our Government Partners and internal teams.
 * Leading and supporting process improvement within the team.
 * Ensuring compliance with legal obligations, including the Official Secrets Act, GDPR, DPA, and the Investigatory Powers Act 2016.
Who You Are
 * Working knowledge of National Security Vetting and pre‑employment screening practices.
 * Knowledge of the Industry Personnel Security Assurance Standard (IPSA) and willingness to learn new standards.
 * Excellent communication skills with experience working with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
 * Proficiency in SharePoint and the Office 365 suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
 * Eligible for SC level security clearance.
