About The Role
Community Supervisor (One Year Fixed-term)
Reports to: Estates & Operations Director
Start date: Immediate Start
Contract: Fixed-term one year, 11am - 4pm (4.5 hours per day with free lunch between 2:35pm-3:05pm), Monday to Friday, Term-time only (37 weeks a year)
Salary: £15 per hour
Closing Date: Wednesday, 1st October 2025
Role and responsibilities
* Be responsible for supporting community supervision during term-time, ensuring health & safety regulations are followed and safeguarding duties are undertaken.
* Use own initiative to manage groups and activities, taking responsibility for a class during wet lunchtimes.
* Be firm but fair, promote safety and wellbeing of students, maintain confidentiality at all times, and adhere to school policies including Safeguarding, Meal Supervisor and Behaviour Policy.
* Follow regulations and processes, attend to administrative tasks as required, and work effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrate high expectations of children\'s behaviour and maintain a good attendance record.
* Be accountable to the Estates & Operations Director / Vice Principal at all times.
Ideal candidate / Qualifications
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow regulations and processes.
* Ability to work on own initiative and be reliable with a good attendance record.
* Ability to be firm but fair and to promote student safety and wellbeing.
* Commitment to Ark\'s ethos of high expectations and delivery.
* Ability to work as part of a team and implement school policies including Safeguarding, Meal Supervisor and Behaviour Policy.
* Experience of working in a school environment is advantageous but not required.
