Leader Education is recruiting for a Autism Support Assistant to support children from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 within a SEND school who cater for children aged 3 to 19 years old.
The successful Autism Support Assistant will have experience working with young people who have SEND, as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential. This role is suitable for candidates who drive. This is a great opportunity to develop a deeper understanding about working with children who have moderate and severe learning disabilities.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 until 15:30 on a long-term basis.

The Successful Candidate Will
* Candidates will need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one
* Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs
* Monitor and manage student\'s behaviour and wellbeing
* Support the development of social and emotional skills
* Assist with personal care if needed
* Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
* A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse needs
