Are you ready to make a real difference in housing and support services? Join our established Housing Related Support Contract Monitoring Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the quality and impact of services across our community.

About the Role
As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of housing-related support contracts. You will ensure that services deliver value for money, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high standards of accommodation and support. While previous contract management experience in a housing setting is desirable, it is not essential—comprehensive training on housing and homelessness will be provided for the right candidate.

What We’re Looking For

2. Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to contract management.
3. A commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes and value for money.
4. The ability to lead improvements in service provision and ensure the support staff within services are well-trained.
5. Flexibility and the ability to work independently within a small, supportive team.
6. A full driving licence and access to a car (travel expenses covered).

Why Join Us?

7. Generous annual leave: 26 days per year, rising to 31 days after five years’ service.
8. Excellent pension scheme with 23% employer contributions.
9. Flexible working policy to support your work-life balance.
10. Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
11. The role is currently funded for 18.5 hours per week, with an additional 7.4 hours per week expected to become available soon. Working hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview.

Key Responsibilities

12. Evaluate data and intelligence from contracted services to ensure compliance with service specifications and delivery standards.
13. Manage all aspects of contract administration, including service user interviews, staff engagement, data and premises audits, and monthly performance reviews.
14. Liaise with staff, service users, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, high-impact outcomes.
15. Provide dedicated contract management support to the Accommodation Supply Team Leader and contract providers, especially in response to changing pressures or high-risk situations.
16. Analyse local, regional, and national data to benchmark need, demand, and resources, supporting effective planning and resource management.
17. Identify and address cross-contract and inter-departmental issues to ensure strategic objectives are met.
18. Collaborate with partner agencies (e.g., health, social care, housing providers) to deliver integrated, value-for-money services.
19. Support the development and delivery of the Council’s Homelessness Strategy and related policies.
20. Identify and implement new policies and initiatives to prevent homelessness.
21. Review and improve working procedures in consultation with your line manager.
22. Undertake any other duties as required by the Housing Options Manager, appropriate to the role and grade.

Please ensure you check the email account (including junk/spam boxes) from which you apply regularly as we will use this to contact you regarding your application.

If you have not heard from us within 4 weeks of the closing date then it is likely that you have not been shortlisted on this occasion, however please do not be discouraged from applying again.
