Manager, International Tax – Corporate Transaction Tax
We are looking to expand our Corporate M&A tax team and are keen to speak with experienced Tax Advisors and existing Managers. Previous M&A experience is not a pre‑requisite for this role – candidates with a broad‑based corporation tax background will also be considered.
Key responsibilities
* Management of the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding transaction tax projects for clients, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business focus.
* Pursuit of business development opportunities.
* Provision of development support to junior members of the team through effective supervision, coaching and mentoring.
* Contribution to people initiatives, including retaining and training the team.
* Significant role in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also through managing junior staff development and assignments.

* Technical and practical tax knowledge.

* Strong client relationship management skills with ability to develop quality outputs to clients.
* Negotiation skills.
* Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
* Effective time management, ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral.
* M&A tax experience or UK/international tax advisory experience.
Qualifications
* ACA / Law qualification / Tax specialist qualification / or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a Tax specialist qualification.
* Strong tax technical and project delivery skills.
* Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
* Experience of coaching and developing more junior staff.
* Knowledge of the tax elements of Mergers & Acquisitions helpful but not a pre‑requisite for the role.
