The opportunity
Our EY Analytics team is dedicated to helping clients unlock business value by harnessing the latest SAP innovations. We’re looking for directors who are both tech-savvy and business-minded, with a genuine passion for connecting SAP technology to real-world business challenges. We are looking for technologists who are driven to deliver solutions that truly transform the way clients consume data.
Key responsibilities
As an EY Director, you’ll lead project engagements, working directly with clients and EY Partners. You’ll be responsible for guiding your team through all parts of a project - from developing new opportunities and identifying value for clients, to designing and delivering solutions. Alongside your client facing role, you’ll also be part of the SAP Analytics Technology leadership team and play a key role across people leadership.
Your key responsibilities:
1. Client Leadership & Delivery Oversight
1. Act as senior delivery lead across complex SAP BDC / Datasphere / BW programmes, ensuring successful outcomes across scope, quality, timeline, and budget
2. Provide oversight and challenge on solution architecture, ensuring alignment with client enterprise data strategies
3. Manage senior client stakeholders (CFO, CIO, Head of Data/FP&A), acting as a trusted advisor
4. Resolve critical delivery risks and escalations across workstreams
5. Ensure integration across finance, data, and technology domains ( SAC Planning, BDC, Databricks/Snowflake/Azure)
2. Commercial Leadership
6. Own and contribute to sales pipelines, leading pursuits and proposals for Analytics
7. Shape client propositions around Analytics Transformation
8. Lead bid teams, including solutioning, pricing, and commercial structuring
9. Drive revenue growth and margin performance across engagements
10. Identify and originate new opportunities within existing client accounts
3. Offering & Asset Development
11. Define and evolve the SAP Analytics offering, including go-to-market propositions
12. Drive AI innovation
13. Lead development of reusable assets
4. Practice & Capability Leadership
14. Build and develop the SAP Analytics capability, including mentoring junior colleagues
15. Support recruitment and workforce planning aligned to growth strategy
16. Establish delivery standards, methods, and best practices across the practice
17. Foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement
5. Thought Leadership & Market Presence
18. Represent the firm externally in client meetings, industry forums, and with alliance partners
19. Contribute to thought leadership
20. Position the practice as a leader in SAP data & analytics solutions
Skills and attributes for success
Key skills & experience required:
21. Strong experience delivering SAP analytics solutions (multiple full project lifecycles)
22. Deep understanding and experience of leading practices for architecting and building SAP data & analytics solutions
23. Strong experience with cross-system integration
24. Deep understanding of multiple SAP process areas and experience designing end to end analytics models
25. Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation programmes
26. Demonstrated commercial acumen, including sales, pricing, and margin management
27. Strong stakeholder management at executive level
28. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across functional and technical domains
Ideally, you’ll also have:
29. Industry expertise (energy / defence / retail / life sciences)
30. Experience in non-SAP cloud data platforms (AWS / Azure / Databricks / Snowflake)
31. Experience delivering SAP AI products
