Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Operations Manager, preferably with a background in medical device manufacturing, to oversee manufacturing, warehousing, and quality assurance, ensuring company objectives are met. The role includes delegated health and safety authority and participation in the Senior Leadership Team to shape strategy and achieve business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
* Oversee manufacturing and sourcing costs for efficiency.
* Coordinate delivery schedules and update stock logs.
* Manage procurement aligned with manufacturing plans and demand.
* Track overdue orders and communicate delays.
* Produce KPI reports and implement corrective actions.
* Apply Lean Six Sigma and 5S methodologies for process improvements.
* Maintain quality systems and ensure compliance with medical device standards.
* Develop internal audit schedules for ISO and supplier audits.
* Ensure policy and SOP compliance, manage logistics accuracy, and stock maintenance.
* Resource planning focusing on supplier performance and alternative sourcing.
* Oversee Health and Safety at the Helapet Houghton Regis site.
* Lead and develop team members through training and performance reviews.
* Review operational KPIs and contribute to strategic planning.
Personal Specifications:
* Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Management; HNC/HND acceptable.
* Ideally IOSH Managing Safety certification.
* Senior production management experience, preferably in medical devices.
* Expertise in Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma.
* Performance management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
* Ability to analyze KPIs and manage performance.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
