Press Brake Operator - 4 Day Week - 40 hours
£17 per hour | Monday–Thursday | Overtime Available | Temp-to-Perm
Due to continued growth and client expansion, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a well-established and growing engineering business in Bacup. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a skilled and supportive team.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating AMADA press brake machines, producing high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Set and operate press brake machines, ideally Amada but not essential
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
3. Produce components to tight tolerances
4. Adjust CNC controls and machine settings as required
5. Support general fabrication activities when needed
What We’re Looking For
6. Time-served Press Brake Operator
7. Proven experience with press brakes
8. Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings
9. Background in sheet metal fabrication
Desirable Skills
10. Experience with guillotines and general fabrication equipment
11. MIG welding experience
12. FLT experience (training can be provided)
Working Hours & Pay
13. £17 per hour
14. Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 5:00pm
15. 1-hour unpaid break per day
16. 40-hour working week
17. Christmas shutdown
Overtime
18. Overtime available on Fridays
19. Paid at time and a half
