Main purpose and scope of the job
* To support the Chief Academy Officer and Academy Service Manager in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training services.
* Recognising our position as the leader and national provider in the field of self-harm and suicide prevention, the Training Sales and Advertising Officer will work closely with Training Management, the Marketing Officer, and other internal teams to ensure services operate sustainably, efficiently, and meet demand.
* To drive the sales and promotion of training services from enquiry through to booking, managing the sales pipeline and executing targeted advertising campaigns.

Responsible For: Supporting the Academy Service Manager in managing enquiries, sales activity, advertising and communications related to training services and products.
Duties and key responsibilities

* Embody and promote the ethos that hope and recovery are possible through quality training services.
* Support the Academy Service Manager and Senior Leadership Team in ensuring the training function is delivered successfully, sustainably, and to a high standard.
* Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities and relationships with commissioners, stakeholders, and purchasers across the UK.
* Support strategic goals to ensure Harmless CIC becomes a self-sustainable organisation, building long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and service growth.
* Take ownership of generating leads, nurturing client relationships, and converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
* To meet and exceed targets and KPIs as set by the Management Team, including (but not limited to) quality targets and standards, financial targets, and obligated sales agreement KPIs.
Day-to-Day duties and key responsibilities
* Act as a main point of contact for the training sales function, reporting regularly to the Academy Service Manager.
* Manage inbound and outbound sales activities, including:
o Handling training enquiries via phone, email, and other channels.
o Discussing and shaping bespoke training packages with clients.
o Promoting training opportunities through social media, newsletters, blogs, website updates, and direct outreach.
o Following up with clients to encourage repeat bookings and client retention.
* Work collaboratively with the Marketing Officer to create engaging, targeted advertising and promotional materials.
* Develop and execute advertising campaigns to promote training offers and reach new delegates.
* Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management system accurately, ensuring all delegate interactions, sales stages, and notes are logged.
* Ensure invoices, bookings, and contracts are processed efficiently in collaboration with the Administration Team.
* Schedule training sessions in coordination with the Training Team and ensure all logistics are arranged.
* Track, evaluate, and report on sales performance, bookings, campaign results, and customer feedback.
* Build and maintain excellent professional relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure long-term engagement.
* Attend internal and external performance meetings to share updates on sales, advertising outcomes, and team performance.
* Contribute to the development of training content and ensure materials align with delegate needs and learning outcomes.
* Implement and maintain robust evaluation systems to capture training impact, delegate satisfaction, and inform continuous service improvement.
* Assist in the development of future strategies by using market intelligence and delegate feedback to refine offerings.
* Support the ongoing development of the training function through proactive problem-solving, effective resource planning, and maintaining a focus on continuous improvement.
* Promote the work of Harmless CIC positively and professionally at all times.

Skills, knowledge and experience

* Sales Experience: Proven experience in a sales, business development, or account management role (Essential), preferably within the training, education, or professional services sector (Desirable).

* Sales cycle knowledge: Strong understanding of the full sales cycle, including lead generation, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing deals (Essential).
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and build strong professional relationships (Essential).
* Organisation: High attention to detail with excellent administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure (Essential).
