Greta Cottage LTD have a opportunity for a enthusiastic candidate to join our amazing team as an Activity Co-ordinator. We are looking for an individuals who are positive and compassionate and able to schedule and coordinate events. The activities coordinator will create and handle the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage residents in meaningful activities. They will communicate with residents to get feedback, manage resources, and deliver fun, safe events and daily activities.
To succeed as an activities assistant, you should strive to stage entertaining, engaging activities that will appeal to the age and physical or emotional needs of our residents, experience with Dementia patients is desired. You should be observant, driven, creative, and caring.
Responsibilities will include;
* Planning and facilitating daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation.
* Implementing activities that accommodate those with dementia.
* Keeping records regarding event planning resources, participant interest, and other notable information.
* Ensuring that events are well-provisioned,
* Adhering to and enforcing all safety procedures.
The position will be 5 hours per day, from 10:00am - 15:00pm, over four working days on a 2 week rolling rota, working alternate weekends. Please note this is a temporary contract based between 3-6 months, there could be an opportunity for other placements/roles at the end of this contract
