Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in children/young person's care, with specific experience in supported accommodation/residential home. This role requires a compassionate leader who can effectively manage staff, oversee support plans, and ensure the highest standards of care/support for our residents.
Duties
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the homes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
* Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills in delivering exceptional senior care.
* Develop and implement individualised support plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs.
* Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
* Foster a positive environment that promotes resident dignity, independence, and well-being.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting support plans as necessary.
* Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in social care or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
* Proven experience in assisted living or residential home settings is essential.
* Background in nursing, social care or relevant healthcare qualifications is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated management experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
* Proficient in developing support plans tailored to individual resident needs.
