We are currently seeking a self-motivated and pro-active individual excited by the challenge of a mutli-skilled role, working at the heart of the council to provide an accurate, professional and timely business support service to our Planning and Building Control team. You will be an efficient first point of contact service for planning & building control applications, utilising many access channels such as online forms, emails and telephone calls, undertaking back-office administrative processes, and providing excellent customer service to a whole range of stakeholders.

You will need to have some experience of working in a customer focused administrative support role and the ability to meet service performance targets. You will also need to be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment, which can be influenced by Political as well as legislative changes.

Specific experience in planning and development management would be advantageous, but if youre a fast learner with excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills, then we want to hear from you!

The council supports a hybrid and flexible working culture. The successful candidate will need to work from the council's offices at least 2 days a week.
