The Role
As a product owner, you will be responsible for acting as a primary interface for stakeholders, requiring strong influencing, communication, and collaboration across technical and non‑technical audiences’ end‑to‑end product vision and strategy, driving transformation from idea to value realisation across complex, multi‑platform environments. You will partner closely with engineering leadership to shape architecture, delivery approach, and long‑term roadmap.
Key responsibilities:
* Leads end‑to‑end product vision and strategy, driving transformation from idea to value realisation across complex, multi‑platform environments.
* Partners closely with engineering leadership to shape architecture, delivery approach, and long‑term roadmap.
* Acts as the primary interface for stakeholders, requiring strong influencing, communication, and collaboration across technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Owns delivery execution including planning, resourcing, budgeting, and governance (risks, dependencies, issues, assumptions).
* Ensures high‑quality product outcomes delivered on time and within cost, aligned to strategic and architectural objectives.
* Drives customer‑centric thinking, simplifying workflows and optimising user journeys through informed decision‑making and stakeholder alignment.
* Builds and scales high‑performing teams focusing on right‑sizing, hiring, coaching, and effective utilisation of resources.
* Operates within a data‑driven transformation context, leveraging data as a strategic asset to create measurable business value.
* Challenge Group, Senior Executives and others throughout transformation.
* Champions the principles & aims of Transformation in order to guide and support teams through Transformational change, creating the right environment and culture within the Lab for teams to be successful.
* Works with Engineering Lead, Team Product Owners, Architects and Tech Leads to set the strategic direction, understand solution choices, whether operational or technological, and help define an incremental delivery plan.
* Leads, influences and agrees the strategy for the Lab and key design decisions across technology, operating model, customer experience and other design viewpoints.
* Works with the Team Product Owners to mentor and develop the team within the Lab providing clear and constructive feedback.
* Works with Agile Coaches to create opportunities for learning and growth.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* The ideal candidate will inspire delivery whilst encouraging simplicity and developing confidence & trust.
* Experience of data quality management and data lineage
* Extensive track record of building strong senior level relationships and providing constructive support and challenge to directors.
* Able to work effectively with multi‑disciplinary, internal and external geographically distributed teams across the project lifecycle.
* Strong understanding of business requirements and the ability to translate them into effective Test cases.
* Effective and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a multi‑vendor team
