A leading Tier 1 contractor is recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre project for a world-renowned global tech client. This is a high-profile, mission-critical development where HSE leadership is absolutely vital. If youre passionate about shaping safety culture, driving standards, and influencing stakeholders on a fast-paced technical programme, this role offers long-term progression in one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction. What Youll Do: Lead all project-wide Health & Safety strategy and compliance. Develop and implement HSE plans, RAMS, procedures, and site safety systems. Ensure full compliance with UK legislation, CDM 2015, and client-specific standards. Carry out inspections, audits, incident investigations, and RCA. Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training. Oversee high-risk activities: MEP installation, critical lifts, hot works, working at height, PTW, confined spaces, commissioning. Liaise with the clients global HSE team and represent the contractor in key meetings. Produce monthly reports, KPIs, and performance insights. Support continuous improvement and subcontractor compliance. What Were Looking For: Experience as a Health & Safety Manager on large, complex construction projects (data centres, pharma, industrial or tech environments ideal). NEBOSH General Certificate (essential); Diploma or working toward it preferred. TechIOSH/GradIOSH (CMIOSH a strong advantage). Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and UK H&S legislation. Experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor is highly beneficial. Confident communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work in a high-security, fast-paced environment.
