About the Role:
As a QTS Tutor, you'll work with students across Key Stages 1-4, helping them to re-engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. This may include working with pupils with SEN, EHCPs, or those requiring catch-up support. Sessions typically take place in local centres, schools, or at students' homes, with some remote options available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, personalised lessons in line with the National Curriculum
* Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
* Maintain clear and accurate records of tutoring sessions
* Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families
* Liaise with schools and education professionals when needed
Contract/Position Details:
* Location - Peterborough
* Position - One to one tutor
* Type of work - Contract
* Start date - ASAP
* Duration / Likely Duration - Until sufficient progression is made
* End date (if applicable) - N/A
* Contract type - Temporary
* Full-time/part-time - Part time (dependent on pupils needs)
* Minimum rate of pay - £25 per hour
* Hours - Timetable can vary dependent on pupil availability
Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Tutor:
* QTS or equivalent
* A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
* Be confident teaching GCSE classes online
* Provide a firm but fair approach
* Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prospero's course
To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Tutor must:
* Hold the right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child-related references.
