About the role
We are looking for a Senior Social Worker to join our senior leadership team in Norwich. This key role involves line management of our Complex Needs team and strategic oversight for Families and Safeguarding delivery, along with other strategic workstreams across the Service.

£45,585.72 – £53,329.99 per annum, based on experience.

Responsibilities
* Lead and support the team of Social Workers, apprentices and students, using reflective practice, coaching and collaborative approaches.
* Model ethical and evidence‑based practice, advocating for people who use services.
* Provide specialist advice on risk, safeguarding and complex needs, and hold professional accountability for complex decision‑making.
* Facilitate empowerment of teams and individuals to increase knowledge, skills and confidence.
* Lead strategic pathways to help service users navigate the wider support system and develop knowledge across sectors.
* Represent the service at Multi‑Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC), adult and children safeguarding meetings, and other relevant external meetings.
* Build relationships within integrated care systems, including child and adult social care, criminal justice services, hospital safeguarding and health services.
About you
* Hold a valid social work qualification and registration with the relevant regulatory body.
* Experience in leadership, motivating and inspiring individuals and teams.
* Experience in strategic decision‑making and influencing, using emotional intelligence and courage.
* Confidence in complex decision‑making related to service user issues, with defensible skills and clear communication.
* Experience in culture and change management, staff engagement, and service improvement.
* Knowledge of safeguarding practice for children and vulnerable adults.
* Hold a practice educator qualification.
* Committed to demonstrating the organisation’s values in daily practice.
* Background check: This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
