Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Executive Sous Chef, you will:
* Lead and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks and Kitchen Managers, fostering a positive and efficient work culture.
* Ensure consistent execution of dishes that align with our chef-driven menu and brand standards.
* Assist in menu development, food costing, inventory control, and vendor ordering.
* Act as Head Chef when needed, ensuring seamless kitchen leadership and smooth daily operations.
* Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance at all times.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume ($5M+ annual sales) upscale casual or fine dining kitchen.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on creativity, quality, and consistency.
* Experience supervising and developing kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment.
* A Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or a related field (preferred).
* In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience with innovative, seasonal, and sushi-inspired menus.
* Familiarity with operating in a waterfront or seasonal restaurant environment.
* Strong organizational and communication skills to inspire and lead diverse kitchen teams.
* The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, delivering excellence during peak service.
