At our GKN Filton site, We are currently searching qualified fitters and fabricators to join various workshops across site where we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.
Successful applicants will have a wide knowledge of hand and machine tools used in the aircraft industry such as:
* Precussion riveting
* Drill/Ream/Countersink in panels with Vanmar tools
* Setting structures in build jigs
* Deburring of structures
* Fettling using approved setting tools
* Treatment touch-up in localised areas on aluminium
* Use of CNC pillar drills (DONAU)
* Part Marking + Identifying
