Role Purpose
* Diagnose faults on customer machines returned for servicing
* Repair electrical and electronic issues in products to the highest quality
* Collaborate on R&D activities for new product ranges
Main Responsibilities
* Analyse and repair welding equipment in line with technical specifications
* Ensure rapid turnaround of repairs to meet customer SLA targets
* Report recurring faults, generational design changes, and trends to the Team Lead (TL) and Managing Director (MD)
* Inspect and evaluate prototype or sample machines, providing detailed feedback to TL & MD
* Identify failure patterns, pinpoint weak components, and recommend alternative parts or design improvements
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
* Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing power electronics, PCBs, and industrial machines
* Strong fault-finding skills using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and schematic diagrams
* Familiarity with inverter drives, control boards, and welding power supplies
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Clear communication skills for reporting complex technical issues
Desirable Qualifications
* Previous exposure to welding machine technology or welding processes
* Hands-on experience in product validation, prototype testing, or R&D support
