Join WSP in Belfast, Northern Ireland as a Principal Wastewater Modeller. You will be part of an award-winning water team and contribute to project delivery, technical quality, and service efficiency.
What You Will Do
* Develop the urban drainage modelling capability in the team, ensuring we are at the forefront of latest developments in the discipline, and provide training and development support to more junior members of the team
* Support the team lead in managing the work of the local technical delivery team
* Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support the wastewater team in delivering current and future projects and help influence our future approaches to efficient delivery
* Exercise independent engineering judgement and have opportunities to provide innovative solutions to engineering problems
* Develop and maintain excellent client relationships at all levels, coordinating and facilitating project meetings internally and with clients
* Participate in business development and proposal preparation
* Promote the WSP brand through appropriate industry forums and conferences
* Contribute to the learning of the wider team through knowledge sharing exercises
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
* A relevant degree and chartered, or significantly progressed on your journey in pursuing qualification with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM
* Able to demonstrate clear and successful experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and an ability to check the technical outputs of others prior to issue
* A good working knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for the Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and relevant British Standards
* Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills
