Labour Resource & Contractor Manager
£45,000–£50,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
Birmingham
Time to step up into real leadership?
Our client is growing fast and they need someone who can take charge of a national contractor workforce, keep projects moving, and build a supply chain that actually works. This is about people, performance, and having the right trades on site, on time, every time.
You’ll lead contractor recruitment, allocation, and performance across the UK & Ireland, making sure every job is covered and every tradesperson meets the standard. You’ll work closely with project managers, manage a small internal team, and be the go-to for everything labour and contractor related.
You’ll also be client-facing, working with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met, and using your strong Excel skills to track performance and resource allocation. Time management and the ability to prioritise are key, every day is busy, and you’ll need to stay on top of it all.
Why this role:
Full ownership: Make decisions, fix problems, and improve processes.
Challenges galore: A growing contractor network, an expanding project pipeline, and a team to lead.
Commercial clout: Influence budgets, costs, and supplier relationships.
Growth-focused environment: Say goodbye to companies stuck in first gear.
What we’re looking for:
5+ years in contractor, labour resource, or supply chain management, ideally with trades or field service experience.
Proven leadership of teams and national contractor networks.
Client-facing experience with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Strong Excel skills for reporting, tracking, and performance analysis.
Organised, decisive, and commercially sharp: you manage costs, margins, and quality.
Exceptional time management and ability to prioritise competing tasks
