We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our HIV team as a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist. You will work alongside the team and Band 7 lead to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care to patients with HIV throughout their treatment journey.
Overview
You will be a registered nurse with NMC registration, ideally with experience in HIV or a strong willingness to undertake the relevant competences and training. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is a passion for delivering patient‑centred care and supporting individuals through complex treatment pathways.

In this role you will:
* Work collaboratively with a multi‑professional team to provide specialist care and support to patients and carers throughout their HIV pathway and beyond.
* Ensure high‑quality and efficient services are delivered in line with organisational priorities and the national HIV agenda.
* Mention that you maintain professional standards and act as a role model, supporting the professional development of colleagues.
* Provide education and training to colleagues relevant to the role and support their ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Essential
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
* Portfolio of certified/accredited post‑registration professional development.
Desirable
* Health Assessment post‑graduate qualification or willingness to pursue it.
* Post‑registration experience in medical/urgent care nursing or HIV/sexual health services.
* Non‑medical prescriber qualification or willingness to pursue it.
Experience
* Post‑registration experience with evidence of knowledge and development for the associated area of specialist practice.
* In‑depth knowledge of specialist procedures required for the role, with willingness to undertake further training/education to achieve competence.
* Knowledge of standards and policies associated with the role.
* Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary and cross‑agency environment.
* Demonstrable understanding of national NHSE diagnostic/therapeutic expectations and strategy around endoscopy services, relatable to the role.
* Understanding of clinical governance and patient safety processes, with accountability for personal/professional performance.

Pay and Working Pattern
