* Salary: between £16 - £18 per hour
* Location: Cambridge, CB25
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am - 6pm (37hs a week)
* Till July 2025 with the possibility of extension
To provide a high performing, customer focused reception and administrative support service, which is responsive to and meets the needs of customers; and enables the efficient and effective management of Fleet Services business as a commercially viable trading operation.
To be responsible for several key fleet management operational support functions including Fuel management, digital vehicle tracking/telematics management system, EU Driver's Hours and tachograph analysis, On-Board vehicle CCTV (where applicable), vehicle accident management and Driver licensing.
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To ensure all appropriate permissions are obtained and in place before any work commences on all vehicles
2. To be responsible for the day to day operation of the fuel card management
3. To be responsible for maintaining the accident database within the electronic fleet management system and for supporting the reporting and investigation of accidents involving fleet vehicles, liaising with third parties and insurers, and investigating liability (eg. CCTV/ vehicle telematics evidence)
4. To be responsible for the on-board vehicle CCTV system and ensure the system is operated in compliance with the Data Protection Act and the Council CCTV policy and Code of Practice
5. To actively monitor adherence to EU Driver's hours and tachograph legislation and report non-compliance to the Fleet Services Manager and relevant driver
6. To ensure all internal job cards and external invoices are processed in a timely and efficient manner
7. To carry out driver licence checks of all council employees driving authority owned vehicles using the DAVIS checking system
8. To ensure professional and customer service standards are maintained at all time and to work proactively to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction levels
9. To support customers to identify their service requirements, prepare estimates and quotations and resolve any resulting service queries or complaints
10. To maintain electronic fleet management system with vehicle anniversary events, such as MOT expiry dates, LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) expiry dates, tachograph expiry dates, inspection and service schedule
11. Ensure monthly fleet Road Fund Licence (RFL) applications are submitted on time
12. Carry out any other duties as required by your line manager from time to time in accordance with the grading of the post.
