Are you an experienced tax professional ready to take the next step in your career? An established and growing accountancy team in Newport is looking for a proactive and technically capable Tax Assistant Manager to join their team.
What you'll be doing:
* Preparing and completing Self-Assessment Tax Returns, including for individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
* Managing your own portfolio of personal tax clients.
* Providing tailored tax advisory services and strategic tax planning solutions.
* Preparing CGT disclosures and HMRC submissions.
* Producing sole trader and partnership accounts.
* Liaising professionally with HMRC to resolve compliance and enquiry matters.
* Supporting junior staff and collaborating across departments.
What we're looking for:
* CTA, ACA, and/or ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
* A minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional accountancy setting.
* Strong knowledge of personal and corporate tax return preparation.
* Confident communicator with the ability to handle client queries and build lasting relationships.
* Well-organised, deadline-driven, and able to manage tasks independently.
* Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and cloud-based accounting tools.
