Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an established, industry leading manufacturing business in the Cramlington area with their search for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
Key Duties
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance of production equipment to ensure a reliable manufacturing process.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and supporting equipment.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, including but not limited to permits to work, pre-work risk assessment and method statements, LOTO, ATEX.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and apprentices.
* Provide engineering support to the production process when required in order to improve machine output and rectify processing issues.
* Work alongside the on-site project department to develop new/improved electrical control systems.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs, using a CMMS system.
Key Requirements
* Completed Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Proven experience in fault finding and troubleshooting on Mechanical Systems.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Package
* Circa £55,000 per annum inclusive of shift allowance.
* Continental 24-7 shift pattern of days/nights, one week working 60 hrs (5 12 hour shifts, 2 days break in between), the next week only working 24 hours (2 12 hour shifts) on rotation.
