Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Repairer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various concrete repair construction tasks, ensuring quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Outline
* Concrete repair duties involve assessing, preparing, and restoring damaged or deteriorated concrete surfaces or structures.
Core Duties of Concrete Repair Work all materials plant and ppe suplpied by us
* Surface Preparation
* Remove loose or damaged concrete (chipping, grinding,)
* Clean surfaces .
* Remove rust from rebar (wire brushing or corrosion inhibitors).
* Apply bonding agents if necessary.
* Formwork & Reinforcement (if needed)
* Install temporary formwork to shape repairs.
* Replace or repair corroded reinforcement bars (rebar).
* Use epoxy-coated or galvanized rebar to prevent future corrosion.
* Concrete Repair Application
* Apply patching materials (mortar, epoxy, polymer-modified concrete, etc.).
* Use hand-applied or spray-applied methods, depending on the repair.
* Ensure proper curing conditions (moisture, temperature, time).
* Monitor for shrinkage or cracking during curing.
* Finishing
* Match the texture and color with surrounding concrete.
* Smooth or texture surface as required (trowel, broom, etc.).
* Seal the repaired area to prevent future damage.
* Safety & Compliance
* Follow all safety procedures (PPE supplied by us ).
* Comply with building codes, engineering specs, and environmental regulations.
* Documentation & Reporting
* Record repair locations, materials used, and techniques.
* Report progress and issues to supervisors or engineers.
* Take before-and-after photos for quality control.
Experience
* Previous experience in concrete work is essential. Sika Fosrock Ronacrete Etc
* Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is advantageous.
* Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
We are a company running for 30 plus years not an agency. Long Term postion and work all year round.
