Job Description:
Our clients are looking for a Highways Operative to join their hardworking dedicated team in Cullompton.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, including Patching, Resurfacing, Potholes, Drainage, Footways, and General Highway Maintenance.
* Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
* Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the day-to-day tasks.
* Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.
* Provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives where appropriate.
* Maintain a commitment to Health and Safety.
* Demonstrate good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
* Undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Hold a CSCS Card.
* Possess an HGV licence.
* Have NRSWA certification.
* Be prepared for Winter Works tasks.
Rate of Pay:
* This is a PAYE position, offering accrued Holiday Pay from day one.
* Weekly Pay with no umbrella fees or additional charges.
* Only tax and National Insurance deductions, clearly shown on your payslip.
This is a temporary role, with potential for future permanent employment.
