Fawkes & Reece are seeking an experienced Temporary Logistics Manager to join our team on a major construction project in Edinburgh. The project involves student accommodation and residential works, delivered under RC Frameworks, and requires a proactive, highly organised individual with a strong background in site logistics. This a temporary role for approximately 18 to 24 months work. Key Responsibilities • Manage all site logistics operations, ensuring safe and efficient movement of materials, plant, and labour • Plan and coordinate deliveries in line with programme requirements and site constraints • Oversee traffic management plans, hoarding, signage, and site access/egress • Liaise closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers • Maintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring compliance with site and company procedures • Manage storage areas, craneage, and distribution of materials across the site • Monitor and resolve logistical issues that may impact programme or productivity Requirements • Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on construction sites • Essential experience in student accommodation and residential projects • Strong working knowledge of RC (Reinforced Concrete) Frameworks • SMSTS (or SSSTS depending on project requirements) • Valid CSCS card • Excellent communication and coordination skills • Strong understanding of health & safety and site logistics planning What We Offer • Opportunity to work on a high-profile project in Edinburgh • Supportive project team and well-structured site environment If you’re an experienced Logistics Manager with the right background and are looking for your next challenge in Edinburgh, we’d love to hear from you
