Band 6 Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner/ODP (Ref: 229898)

OR

Band 5 Registered Nurse development opportunity (Annex 20)

Substantive

Full Time – 37 hours per week

Band 6- Salary Range £41,608 - £50,702 per annum

Band 5 – Salary Range £33,247 - £41,424 per annum

Distant Island Allowance of £2,482 per annum

Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available


You will be responsible for all aspects of the patient’s anaesthetic care in the Theatre Suite, ensuring the environment is safe and effective for delivery of care to adults and children. You will provide excellence in Anaesthetics and recovery care from admission to discharge. The anaesthetic nursing team also provide support for emergency care in other areas of the hospital. There is an on-call commitment for which an allowance is payable.


If you do not already hold a nationally recognised qualification in anaesthetic assistance you will be required to undertake NES Core Competencies for Anaesthetic Assistants upon commencement in post under Annex 20 for the Agenda for change terms and conditions handbook. You will also be required to undertake extended role developments in Anaesthetic nursing, demonstrating excellent communication and team working skills. There will also be a requirement to complete Flying Start for newly qualified registered nursing staff.
