Events Yard Supervisor
As part of our continued expansion, we have a new position for a Yard Supervisor to join our existing Events team at our head office in Bonnybridge. Reporting to the Events Director you will be responsible for managing and preparing all events units to an agreed timeframe.
This is a hands-on role, you will be responsible for all asset preparation including Operating Forklift, loading vehicles (where appropriate) and completing any supporting paperwork, which will result in an asset that is fit for hire and is aligned to LOC Hire standards. You will carry out your duties whilst adhering to and helping to achieve our HSE initiatives. All activities are to be undertaken in a safe and professional manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Administer all work yard operations and ensure compliance to safety policies.
· Responsible for managing and preparing all Events units to an agreed timeframe.
· Operating B1 and B2 forklift safely and efficiently
· Supervise all customers and company staff in all yard operations.
· Load and manoeuvre vehicles and assets
· Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and daily log sheets
· Maintain workshop and yard cleanliness.
· Coordinate with events team and receive all materials and prepare necessary paperwork for same.
· Ensure proper handling of all materials and store it appropriately.
· Monitor inventory of yard supplies and liaise with stores to place purchase orders as necessary.
· Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on equipment.
· Investigate and identify root cause of equipment damage and/or breakdown.
· Comply with company standards.
Minimum Qualifications
· B1 and B2 forklift licence
· Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including lifting, pushing, pulling etc.).
* Legally eligible to work in the UK.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must have at least a valid driver's license.
* Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years.
* Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
* Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
