Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real impact in their lives? As a Social Worker with our UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) team, you will be at the forefront of providing crucial support and care to children and young people who are seeking asylum without their families. Main Responsibilities Your role will involve:Conducting comprehensive assessments of the needs of unaccompanied minors Developing and implementing personalised care plans Advocating for the rights and welfare of the children Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Conducting Age assessments (following training) The Ideal Candidate You'll be:Qualified and registered as a Social Worker with post qualifying experience Experienced in working with children and young people, preferably within the UASC or similar settings Empathetic, resilient, and culturally aware Able to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills For further information, please contact David Atherton david .Artherton@staffordshire.gov.uk or Eb Offei ebenezer.offei@staffordshire.gov.uk and Lindiwe Korfage Lindiwe.korfage@staffordshire.gov.uk Interviews will held from: 4 September 2025 Our Recruitment Process: We anonymise applications during shortlisting to ensure only relevant information is considered.
