An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join a highly rated school in Chester. This school is seeking a stimulating and inspiring Teaching Assistant to become a part of their team. This role will be within a specialist primary setting who pride themselves on encouraging children to become as independent as possible, to achieve a range of qualifications, awards and certificates and be prepared for transfer to the next phase of their lives.
Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant your main role will be to provide support and guidance to pupils to ensure they are able to fully access the curriculum and enjoy their education. The role is to support children in their learning and behavioural needs, and you will play a massive part in their development and success. You will support the teacher with the delivery of lessons, both inside and outside the classroom, whilst also supporting the pupil's wellbeing.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful with your application you will need:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, ideal but not essential.
* You will need to have experience of working with children within the last 2 years.
* You should feel confident working with children in small groups or in a 1:1 setting.
* You should have a mature and professional attitude towards work.
* You will need to be able to communicate comfortably with teachers, parents and pupils.
