What will you be doing?
Leading Lifetime’s educational performance, quality assurance, and awarding‑organisation (AO) management, ensuring teaching, learning, assessment, and EPA activity meet the highest standards of learner experience. This role integrates Ofsted‑aligned performance assurance with oversight of AO partnerships, gateway readiness, and EPA outcomes. The postholder drives continuous improvement, supports regulatory preparation, and ensures apprentices progress smoothly and compliantly through to successful completion. This role will take the lead in ensuring that Lifetime is ready for assessment reform.
What you will bring to the role
* Proven experience in quality assurance, performance management, or inspection preparation in FE or apprenticeships.
* Strong knowledge of the Ofsted EIF and its application in work‑based learning.
* Experience managing EPA or AO relationships, gateway processes, or assessment activity.
* Ability to analyse performance and assessment data to drive targeted improvement.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and senior stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience leading teams and fostering a culture focused on learning and continuous improvement.
It would be great if you had:
* Experience directly managing Ofsted inspections or AO/EPA audits as nominee
* Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, assessment plans, and gateway requirements.
* Insight into curriculum design and how it drives learner outcomes and assessment performance.
* Collaborative leader who builds strong cross‑functional relationships and challenges constructively.
* Passion for educational excellence and improving learner achievement.
