We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Doncaster, a category B Prison located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

In this role, you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Hours

Monday to Sunday - 08:00 - 18:30, across 3/4 days on a rolling 4-week rota. There will be an expectation to work alternate weekends.

We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Doncaster, a category B prison in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. You will work within a supportive multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health care.

Hours

Salary

This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to £47,466, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

* Assess and manage patients' mental health needs.
* Work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team, managing a caseload, and developing holistic care plans.
* Contribute to nursing strategy and vision, providing evidence-based, personalized care based on patient feedback.
* Deliver non-judgemental, therapeutic care while maintaining professional boundaries.
* Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, always considering safeguarding policies.

Requirements
* NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse
* Experience working within mental health settings and understanding this patient group
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Experience collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders in multidisciplinary environments

While not essential, experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is desirable.

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and managing patients' mental health needs.
