About The Role
At Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F), we are ambitious in reforming the council to ensure this is a place for everybody. Within the Place Department, we offer a wide range of services to help make the borough an attractive place, one that is safe, clean and green and one in which our residents take pride.

We are looking for a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Project Officer to join the Ending VAWG Team within our community safety unit. The VAWG Project Officer will play a key role in delivering the council's strategic response to VAWG by holding responsibility for delivering certain strands of the council's VAWG Strategy and Action Plan.

The role will work closely with internal colleagues within the Ending VAWG Team, other teams across Community Safety, and the wider council, as well as external partners (such as specialist services and police) to improve our response to VAWG in H&F. The role will also directly engage with victim/survivors of VAWG, local community groups, and young people to ensure our strategies and services are co-produced.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about improving services for victims/survivors of VAWG. We are looking for someone with the relevant skills and experience outlined in the role profile, and importantly, the right attitude, approach, and interpersonal skills to be successful in this role.

Our mission is to be the best council. To do this we need the best people to help build our vision. If you're looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment whilst making a difference, then we look forward to hearing from you.
