We are working with a Swindon Borough Council who are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to join their team due to the increase in demand.
Location: Swindon Borough Council
Set-up: Hybrid – 2-days per week on-site
Rate: £575/day via umbrella inside IR35
Duration: Initially9-months
Hours: Full-time position
Responsibilities include:
1. A Re-procurement of the managed stores. The contract is currently held by Travis Perkins and the project will take around 6-9 months to procure given they need stock lists updated
2. Full life cycle from commencement to completion required
3. Some big and complex pieces of procurement including possible bespoke framework contract but not via a third-party framework
4. Undertake the end-to-end tendering of projects only, not a strategic, development or management
Requirements:
5. Local Government experience required for initial shortlisting, then thereafter at the client’s discretion
6. Must be CIPS qualified and have undertaken procurement work in the public sector and certification in the new Procurement Act 2023
7. Candidates must have CIPS qualifications and have undertaken procurement work in the public sector and TPP certification
