Join our team as a Social Work Team Leader (Adults) at Cornwall Council! We are seeking experienced social workers or managers to lead the Independence and Wellbeing Service (IWS) in East Cornwall. There are two positions available: Team Leader (Front Door/Community) and Team Leader (Hospital Facing).
About the Service & Team
Our service supports adults from initial contact through assessment, offering information, advice, and signposting to maximize independence. You will work within primary care networks to identify solutions that keep individuals safe and supported at home.
The Role
You will manage assessing staff, support casework decisions, and promote safeguarding and wellbeing. The environment is busy and positive, with a focus on staff support, supervision, and development, aligned with Adult Social Care standards and the Professional Capability Framework.
Applicants must reside within a reasonable commute of Cornwall to enable face-to-face work. The role involves statutory responsibilities, including compliance with the English language requirement and a criminal record check.
What You Need
* A Social Work Degree and registration with Social Work England
* Experience as a social worker or manager in Adult Social Care
* Knowledge of issues affecting vulnerable adults, hospital discharge, and relevant legislation
* Experience in multi-agency settings and quality assurance
