Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator. This role involves coordinating environmental quality and certification programs, stakeholder engagement, supervising staff, and supporting environmental initiatives within the LEQ department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources to deliver program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate certification programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct cleanliness surveys.
4. Community Engagement: Promote community participation and expand coverage of sustainability programs.
5. Communications: Act as the primary contact, respond to inquiries, represent the charity, and create content for various platforms.
6. Research Support: Assist in research and policy analysis related to environmental sustainability.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work commissioning, and support marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Essential: Relevant degree or 3 years' equivalent experience, with at least 1 year in surveying or auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year supervising staff.
* Desirable: Experience in data analysis, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Environmental knowledge (essential), behavior change principles (desirable).
Additional Requirements:
* Full driving license and access to transport.
* Occasional travel across Northern Ireland and flexible working hours.
Working Hours & Salary:
* Flexible hours between 8am-6pm, core hours 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
* Hybrid work (2 days in Belfast).
* Salary: £30,328.
Contract & Application Details:
* Permanent position, subject to funding.
